BTCC, the world's longest-serving cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a landmark partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA), becoming the official regional partner of the Argentine National Team. The partnership is set to span the entire 2026 FIFA World Cup schedule, aligning two entities with long-standing histories of excellence and resilience.
The collaboration is framed as a meeting of two champions. Argentina's football legacy, highlighted by three FIFA World Cup victories (1978, 1986, 2022) and its status as reigning Copa América champion, is mirrored by BTCC's 15-year history of navigating multiple market cycles since its founding in 2011. The exchange currently serves over 11 million users across more than 100 countries.
Aaryn Ling, Head of Branding at BTCC, stated, "We believe the strongest partnerships reflect shared identity and ambition. Our collaboration with the Argentine Football Association is exactly the kind of partnership that shapes our brand. As we approach our 15th anniversary, it marks an important milestone in our global growth." Claudio Fabián Tapia, President of AFA, added that BTCC's consistent track record of earning user trust was a key factor in the partnership.
To celebrate the deal, BTCC is launching promotional campaigns for its users. An exclusive lucky draw will run from April 2 to April 15, 2026, with the top prize being a jersey signed by legendary players Lionel Messi, Julian Alvarez, or Alexis Mac Allister. The exchange also plans to launch a trading competition with substantial prize pools and exclusive BTCC x AFA merchandise, where users can compete based on trading volume to win items signed by the national team.
