A key advisor in the Shiba Inu community, Mazrael, has issued a critical warning to SHIB holders about fake official accounts. In a recent X post, Mazrael emphasized that there are no "new" official channels and urged the community to verify information only through the shib.io website. This alert comes as impersonators increasingly try to capitalize on the project's popularity.
Beyond the security warning, Mazrael provided an update on ecosystem development: LEASH v2 contract is now "ready and audited" by Hexens, set to replace the original LEASH with a fixed supply, closing a rebasing vulnerability. Additionally, Shiba Inu developers have expanded 18 documentation pages covering ERC-4337 gasless transactions (Paymaster), Crypto Payments API, hosted on-chain data endpoints, and ShibaSwap SDK — key infrastructure for building consumer apps on Shibarium.
Amid these ecosystem strides, SHIB's price has painted a bullish signal. On the daily chart, a "mini golden cross" occurred as the 23-period moving average crossed above the 50-period MA. The token currently trades near $0.000005, defying its typical August sluggishness with a 4.11% gain so far this month, and a 16.7% jump in Q3 — seven times above historical norms.
However, the SHIB still faces resistance from the 200-day EMA around $0.00000503–$0.00000518. A breakout above this zone could open the path to a Q4 rally, historically its strongest quarter. Conversely, a drop below $0.00000446 would invalidate the bullish signal. Analysts outline three scenarios: a breakout, consolidation in the $0.0000045–$0.0000050 range, or a false alarm leading to new lows.
