Tron has cemented its position as a stablecoin powerhouse, adding $2.2 billion to its market cap in just 30 days, while simultaneously surpassing 15 billion cumulative network transactions. These milestones underscore the blockchain’s growing influence in the crypto ecosystem, even as its native token TRX trades sideways.
According to recent data, Tron’s $2.2 billion stablecoin addition over the past month far exceeded the combined growth of the next nine blockchains. By comparison, Solana added $496.7 million and Robinhood Chain contributed $226.7 million. This surge, highlighted in a Token Terminal tweet, signals a significant shift in the stablecoin landscape, with Tron capturing a dominant share of activity, particularly in decentralized finance (DeFi) and global USDT transfers.
Further reinforcing its network strength, TRONSCAN data reveals Tron has processed over 15.01 billion transactions, averaging approximately 12.13 million daily. Unlike many blockchains that experience episodic spikes, Tron’s cumulative transaction chart shows steady, relentless growth over the past year. Standard TRX transfers remain the primary driver, indicating sustained organic usage rather than temporary hype. Much of this activity stems from Tron’s role as a preferred settlement layer for USDT thanks to low fees and fast confirmations.
Despite these robust fundamentals, TRX’s price action tells a different story. After a sharp rally in May briefly pushed the token above $0.37, it now consolidates around $0.327, hovering near its 50-day exponential moving average. The Relative Strength Index sits near the neutral 50 mark, reflecting balanced momentum. Still, the price remains above the 200-day EMA, preserving a technically sound long-term structure. The divergence between on-chain usage and token price suggests investors may be awaiting a stronger catalyst before repricing the asset.
These developments position Tron as one of the most active and fundamentally strong Layer-1 networks. Traders will closely watch whether this operational success eventually translates into renewed price momentum.
