Bybit has expanded its traditional finance perpetual contracts to more than 200 curated global assets, while also introducing an upgraded options data suite designed to close the gap between retail and institutional traders.
The TradFi perpetual expansion covers equities, commodities, ETFs, pre-IPO entities and indices from key markets including the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong and other regions. Bybit said the move supports round-the-clock leveraged trading opportunities and simplifies multi-asset exposure without requiring traders to shift between separate brokerage platforms. The asset lineup includes technology, semiconductors, robotics and AI companies across North America and Asia, alongside commodities such as crude oil, silver and gold.
Among the new pre-IPO additions are Moonshot AI, the company behind the Kimi AI assistant, and Unitree Robotics, a humanoid robot developer. Bybit stated that contracts are denominated and settled in USDT, with traders gaining derivative-based price exposure rather than ownership of the underlying shares or commodities. The exchange has added new listings on a weekly basis since the product initially launched in April.
On the options side, Bybit introduced a redesigned Options Data page with four key enhancements: its BVOL volatility index tracked against 30-day realized volatility, Max Pain levels plotted against the live index price, position structure breakdowns including call-to-put open interest ratios, and market activity tracking gamma exposure, flip points and large order flow. The company cited ChainCatcher data showing the overall crypto options market grew 12% year-over-year in the first half of 2026 but still represents only 2.4% of total crypto derivatives volume, leaving substantial long-term growth potential.
Bybit held a 22.4% retail crypto options market share in that period and was the leading venue for ETH options with a 38% volume share, according to the report. The exchange said the upgrade is intended to lower the barrier to entry for retail traders and provide professional-level volatility, positioning and market structure insights previously limited to institutional trading desks.
