Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has outlined a strongly bullish long-term outlook for Bitcoin, saying it is "very likely" that BTC reaches $300,000 to $400,000 by 2030. Speaking on Fox Business' Varney & Co., Armstrong tied the potential rise to growing institutional adoption, Bitcoin’s fixed supply, and improving US regulatory clarity.
Armstrong’s comments came after he attended a White House meeting hosted by President Donald Trump with regulators and leaders from the crypto and traditional finance sectors. A central topic was the CLARITY Act, which aims to define when digital assets are treated as securities, commodities, or stablecoins used for payments. Armstrong said there was "a strong sense of urgency" in the Trump administration to pass the bill, and Trump urged Congress to move forward with the legislation, calling it "very, very powerful."
Following the remarks, Bitcoin surged above $72,000, with 24-hour gains approaching 10%. The CLARITY Act vote, previously expected in August, is now anticipated in September. Armstrong acknowledged some banks remain opposed to the bill over stablecoin yield concerns, but said many banks support it because it gives them new powers.
