BlackRock’s spot Ethereum exchange-traded fund has acquired approximately $120 million worth of Ethereum, marking its largest single purchase in seven months, according to blockchain analytics firm Arkham.
The transaction is the most significant daily inflow for the fund since January 15, when it recorded roughly $149 million in purchases. BlackRock’s spot Ethereum ETF launched in July 2024 and has experienced fluctuating inflows since its debut.
The purchase signals a renewed appetite for Ethereum exposure among institutional investors. Arkham confirmed the transaction through on-chain data tracking wallet addresses associated with the ETF. While the exact date of the purchase was not initially disclosed, the data shows it is the largest since mid-January.
This accumulation by one of the world’s largest asset managers could influence market sentiment and potentially attract other institutional players. However, ETF flows do not always indicate immediate price movements, as broader macroeconomic conditions, regulatory developments, and overall crypto market trends also play a role.
