Animoca Brands-backed DeFi platform NUVA has selected Chainlink as its exclusive data infrastructure and oracle provider, the companies announced on August 24, 2026. The partnership is designed to bring institutional-grade real-world assets into decentralized finance by delivering accurate price feeds, inflation data, and real-time market insights for NUVA's decentralized RWA marketplace.
The first asset powered by the integration is nvPRIME, which represents exposure to short-term financing backed by residential housing loans, including U.S. home equity lines of credit. NUVA is also preparing institutional yield vaults such as nvYLDS and nvPRIME, aiming to give DeFi users easier access to traditional real estate credit. According to Chainlink, the RWA sector is currently valued at more than $19 billion.
By using Chainlink's decentralized oracle network, NUVA expects to eliminate single points of failure in asset valuations, enable tamper-proof pricing, automate risk management, and support transparent institutional-grade collateral pricing. The protocol's next steps include large-scale product deployment and multichain liquidity consolidation.
The integration highlights a broader shift in RWA tokenization from broad narratives to specific infrastructure. Real estate is less liquid and less standardized than tokenized Treasuries or securities, so reliable off-chain data is essential for on-chain execution. Chainlink's role extends beyond price feeds to proof of reserves, asset values, and interest rates. Still, the announcement is a technical infrastructure milestone rather than proof of mass retail adoption, and the impact will depend on whether NUVA's products attract meaningful users and liquidity.
