TRON DAO announced on August 25, 2026, that the total number of accounts on the TRON blockchain has exceeded 400 million, reaching the milestone on August 23, 2026. The achievement reflects sustained network activity and strengthens TRON's position as one of the most actively used blockchain networks in the world.
Account growth accelerated significantly after TRON reached its first 100 million accounts, a milestone that took four years from its genesis block on June 25, 2018. The network reached 200 million accounts on December 7, 2023, then 300 million on April 12, 2025, before crossing 400 million less than three years later.
TRON has now processed more than 15.2 billion transactions, with total transfer volume surpassing $29 trillion. Its high throughput, low transaction costs, and deep liquidity have made the network a leading settlement layer for stablecoin payments, cross-border transfers, and other on-chain financial activity.
Reaching 400 million accounts is a meaningful milestone for the TRON ecosystem and a reflection of the growing demand for accessible blockchain infrastructure, said Justin Sun, founder of TRON. He emphasized that TRON continues to support payments, stablecoins, decentralized applications, and tokenized assets.
The milestone also comes as TRON expands its presence in institutional asset tokenization. The S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index recognized TRON among top protocols based on protocol utility, on-chain liquidity, and network activity. Collaborations with Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial have expanded institutional access to the TRON ecosystem. TRON currently hosts the largest circulating supply of USD Tether, exceeding $94 billion, with total value locked above $28 billion, according to TRONSCAN.
