Onchain activity in tokenized stocks accelerated sharply over the past 30 days, with monthly transfer volume climbing more than 415% to $29.52 billion, according to RWA.xyz data. The increase far outpaced the growth in distributed tokenized stock value, which rose only 1.45% to $2.54 billion over the same period.
Monthly active addresses jumped more than 209% to roughly 1.3 million, while tokenized stock holder addresses increased 167% to 2.36 million. The sharp rise in address counts without a similar rise in distributed value suggests that many new wallets may be one-time recipients, small-balance holders, or multiple wallets controlled by the same user.
RWA.xyz distinguishes between distributed tokens, which can leave their issuing platforms and move between wallets, and represented assets, which cannot be moved externally. Transfer volume measures the dollar value of onchain token transfers but does not necessarily reflect executed trades or changes in beneficial ownership; it can include wallet moves, platform settlements, custody reorganizations, issuance and redemption activity. Therefore, the roughly 11.6 multiple between $29.52 billion in monthly transfers and $2.54 billion in distributed value should not be interpreted as stock turnover.
Platform concentration remains high. Ondo, xStocks and bStocks together accounted for approximately $2.05 billion, or 80.8%, of the distributed value total. bStocks now ranks as the third-largest platform in the data, following Binance's entry into tokenized US securities. Kraken and Crypto.com are also referenced as platforms offering tokenized stock exposure with different custody, dividend and voting rights arrangements.
Solana offers a useful comparison: tokenized-asset trading more than doubled during the second quarter while network revenue fell 43%, showing that trading volume and network income measure different parts of the system.
On a longer comparison, distributed onchain value was up roughly 637% from $344 million a year earlier, showing that the tokenized stock base has expanded substantially even though the latest 30-day gain was modest. Analysts note that the stronger test of real demand will be whether repeat users and distributed value continue growing after August, rather than relying solely on transfer-volume spikes.
