Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has transferred 132,937 SOL, worth approximately $13.74 million, to U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, according to on-chain analyst EmberCN. A subsequent report from Lookonchain indicated the platform sold another 132,935 SOL for $13.75 million, bringing its cumulative SOL sales to 5,110,924 SOL, valued at roughly $834.3 million at an average price of $163.2 per SOL.
Large exchange deposits by significant holders are often interpreted by traders as a precursor to selling, although on-chain data alone does not confirm intent. Funds could be moved for custody, staking, or other operational purposes. Nevertheless, the scale of Pump.fun's cumulative selling activity has raised concerns about potential sell pressure on Solana, which may influence short-term price action.
Pump.fun has become a central hub for memecoin launches on Solana by allowing users to create tokens with minimal technical expertise. Its treasury and fee structures have accumulated large amounts of SOL, making its wallet activity a key point of interest for analysts. While previous transfers have not always led to sustained sell-offs, the current pattern may shape trader sentiment around Solana and the broader memecoin ecosystem.
