Arbitrum DAO has approved a governance proposal for ecosystem incentive programs, giving the community another opportunity to direct treasury resources toward growth. The approval does not mean all funds are instantly spent; distribution can still be staged with milestones, oversight and reporting requirements.
In a separate report, the Arbitrum Foundation said the DAO generated $6.19 million in first-half 2026 income from Arbitrum One transaction fees, Timeboost auctions, Expansion Program licensing and treasury management. Gross margins exceeded 97%, up from more than 90% in 2025, and the DAO held $125 million in non-ARB treasury assets at the end of June.
Arbitrum processed 478 million transactions in the first half, equal to roughly 18% of its 2.7 billion lifetime total. Monthly stablecoin transfer volume averaged more than $70 billion, and stablecoin holders climbed 40% to 10.5 million.
Robinhood Chain, built with Arbitrum technology, launched on mainnet July 1 and immediately added a new licensing revenue stream. It produced $360,000 in July licensing fees, representing 35% of Arbitrum DAO’s income for the month. The Foundation said third-quarter income is already tracking more than 40% above the second quarter based on July results alone.
Robinhood Chain’s activity accelerated after launch. Users paid a record $3.75 million in fees on September 1, while decentralized exchange volume exceeded $1.5 billion and total value locked stood above $750 million. The key test for Arbitrum is whether incentive spending and licensing revenue produce durable ecosystem growth rather than short-lived activity.
