Bitcoin-focused investment products are attracting capital at the fastest pace in nearly a year, while Ethereum, Solana and XRP ETFs recorded net outflows on September 2. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs added $101.15 million in net inflows, whereas Ethereum spot ETFs lost $48.08 million, Solana ETFs lost $6.13 million and XRP ETFs lost $7.2 million. The one-day divergence underlined a broader institutional rotation toward Bitcoin.
The latest moves extend a stronger multi-week trend. Crypto funds drew $3.2 billion in the week ending August 26, while gold funds attracted $7.3 billion — both the largest weekly intake since October 2025. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, or IBIT, pulled in $928 million after a $1.3 billion inflow the previous week, marking its strongest two-week stretch since October 2025. Crypto's four-week inflow average reached $1.3 billion, and gold's climbed to $4.5 billion.
The simultaneous acceleration in bitcoin and gold flows places two different assets inside the same institutional trade, potentially reflecting inflation hedging, dollar concerns or geopolitical protection. For now, ETF flow data shows the preference for Bitcoin over major altcoin products, and traders are watching whether altcoin ETFs can recapture inflows in the sessions ahead.
