BNB Chain has overtaken Solana as the fastest-growing blockchain for tokenized real-world assets during the opening months of 2026. According to CryptoRank data, BNB Chain added $3.6 billion in RWA value, securing first place among major networks. This growth strengthens the network’s position within a sector connecting traditional financial assets with decentralized blockchain infrastructure.
Through tokenization, issuers can divide real-world assets into transferable digital units recorded and settled through blockchain networks. BNB Chain’s performance suggests that more issuers are selecting its infrastructure for efficient asset creation, distribution, and settlement. Its low transaction costs and large user base provide practical advantages for projects serving institutions and individual investors.
Solana ranked second by adding $2.6 billion in RWA value during the measured period, trailing BNB Chain significantly. Nevertheless, Solana’s result highlights growing demand for tokenized products built on networks offering high throughput and affordable transactions. Stellar followed closely in third place with a $2.5 billion increase, leaving only $100 million between both networks. Its performance reflects Stellar’s established role in asset issuance, cross-border payments, and financial services designed for institutional adoption.
Meanwhile, Ethereum ranked fourth despite holding the largest overall share of the blockchain-based real-world asset market. Ethereum recorded growth of $1.6 billion, considerably below the increases reported across BNB Chain, Solana, and Stellar. However, this ranking measures annual additions rather than each network’s complete RWA value or historical position within the sector. Ethereum still benefits from deep liquidity, extensive developer support, and infrastructure already used by many tokenized asset providers.
Across all blockchain networks, RWA value increased by more than 50 percent since the beginning of 2026. That expansion represented approximately $39 billion in additional assets, demonstrating wider interest in bringing traditional instruments onto blockchains. Consequently, competition may encourage networks to strengthen compliance systems, improve interoperability, and develop better tools for institutional issuers.
