As of September 12, 2026, SUI has entered a closely watched technical setup as analysts track a potential move toward the $1.00 level. The token remains roughly 85% below its previous high, but crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe argues that the network's expanding ecosystem has created a growing gap between price and fundamentals.
Van de Poppe highlighted SUI's zero-fee stablecoin transfers as a feature that could support the agentic economy, where AI agents may conduct frequent microtransactions. He also said SUI has addressed the need for higher transaction capacity, and that foundation buybacks have increased weekly, with 600,000 SUI purchased so far. Activity across SUI's decentralized finance ecosystem has reportedly started to increase, and few networks have released as many applications during the past six months, according to the analyst.
Technical signals add to the bullish case. Van de Poppe identified bullish RSI and MACD divergences on weekly and three-day timeframes for SUI/USD, as well as weekly and three-day divergences for SUI/BTC. He said similar setups have appeared before periods of accumulation and later breakouts, although he did not provide a specific SUI price target based on these formations.
Other analysts are focused on key price levels. Ali Charts said SUI appears to be trading within a channel and approaching its lower boundary near $0.71, with the upper boundary near $0.84. Crypto With Gopal identified a double-bottom formation around $0.72-$0.73, noting that buyers defended that zone twice. According to Gopal, a move above the $0.84-$0.85 resistance range could open a path toward $1.00.
