Binance has filed to introduce a new foreign-exchange product beginning with a U.S. dollar–Brazilian real contract settled in USDT and available continuously. The move continues a wider convergence in which crypto venues host tokens, equities and currency-linked instruments through the same digital infrastructure.
Ethereum remains the principal smart-contract settlement network for stablecoins, DeFi and tokenized assets, while Solana competes through low fees, rapid execution and a strong retail trading culture. Solana has now set September 28, 2026, as the mainnet activation date for its Alpenglow upgrade, described as the largest rewrite since launch.
According to reports, Alpenglow replaces Proof of History and Tower BFT with two new components, Votor and Rotor, and validators approved the change with 98.27% support. Roughly 75% of Solana’s block space currently goes to vote transactions, and Alpenglow removes those entirely. Finality is expected to fall from about 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, while validator running costs drop by close to 98%. The minimum profitable stake falls from around 4,850 SOL to roughly 450 SOL. SOL trades near $109 after climbing 83% from a May low of $60.20, and eight U.S. spot Solana ETFs have pulled past $1.16 billion in net inflows, with Bitwise’s BSOL alone clearing $1 billion.
Remittix adds a PayFi layer to the same convergence theme. Remittix Markets already supports hundreds of perpetual pairs and has reportedly processed more than $50 million in volume. Its PayFi side is designed to convert over 50 cryptocurrencies into bank transfers across more than 30 fiat currencies, with a wallet available on iPhone and Google Play support planned. RTX is listed at $0.21 before the next stage at $0.23, with 82.72% of the presale sold and a listing date expected after the project reaches $32 million.
Pepeto is another presale project framed around cheaper access. It reports $10.9 million committed before any exchange listing, with a price of $0.0000001895 and staking advertised at 163% annual yield. The project claims zero-cost swaps and a bridge across Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana with no gas at either end. Its contracts were audited by SolidProof before the presale opened, and the team includes a former Binance executive. The promotional articles carry disclaimers that they are sponsored and not financial advice, and presale tokens carry high risk.
