Analyst Sets Bullish Targets for Bitcoin and XRP After Sharp Rallies

Key takeaways:

  • XRP's $1.60 neckline breakout could confirm $2B whale accumulation, but failure risks a reversal.
  • Bitcoin's $1.6B ETF inflows reinforce institutional demand, making $84,569 a key dip-buy zone.
  • Watch Bitcoin's $100,670 MVRV resistance; rejection may trigger profit-taking despite bullish momentum.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez has outlined fresh technical targets for Bitcoin and XRP following notable price strength. XRP climbed 27.6% from $1.25 to $1.58, and Martinez says the move may have completed the right shoulder of a large-scale inverse head and shoulders pattern on the daily chart.

The key level for XRP is $1.60, which corresponds to the formation's neckline. A decisive breakout above that area could confirm the pattern and open the door to roughly 30% further upside, putting the $2 level in play. Martinez also highlighted that whales have accumulated more than $2 billion worth of XRP recently.

For Bitcoin, Martinez sees the bullish case continuing. BTC has risen more than 50% since the $57,749 low seen on July 1. Despite the sharp advance, large investors remain active rather than taking profits: more than 2,722 transactions worth over $1 million were recorded on the Bitcoin network in a single day. Demand from spot Bitcoin ETFs has also been supportive, with US-based funds accumulating over $1.60 billion worth of BTC in 72 hours.

Bitcoin's first key support sits near $84,569, where roughly 600,000 BTC previously changed hands, with another support around $77,000. On the upside, on-chain cost breakdown data points to resistance near $104,765, where about 283,000 BTC have traded. The average MVRV band near $100,670 is also a major resistance, while the MVRV band around $74,361 stands out as a strong downside support zone.
