Cypherpunk Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: CYPH), a privacy technology company, has appointed veteran mining executive Amanda Fabiano to its board of directors, the company announced on September 22, 2026.
Fabiano currently serves as chief operating officer of Nakamoto Inc., a publicly listed bitcoin-focused company, and as an independent director of TeraWulf Inc., a bitcoin miner expanding into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure. She previously held senior mining and investment roles at Galaxy and Fidelity, helping build early institutional digital asset mining programs.
“Amanda has spent her career at the operational core of digital asset infrastructure building, scaling, and governing mining businesses inside public companies,” said Douglas E. Onsi, Cypherpunk’s president and chief executive officer. Fabiano said she was excited to join a team building at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and privacy.
The appointment follows the August launch of Cypherpunk Mining, which has deployed approximately 4.2 GSol/s of hashrate across the United States. The mining division generated 3,023.13 ZEC in rewards from August 18 to August 31, 2026, all of which were added to the corporate treasury.
Cypherpunk’s strategy includes mining Zcash, accumulating Zcash through open market purchases, and investing in or building privacy-focused technologies. The company also operates biotech subsidiary Leap Therapeutics as an unusual sidecar to its digital asset operations.
Institutional attention on Zcash has been rising, with Grayscale pushing toward a spot ETF for the privacy coin, adding context to Cypherpunk’s ZEC accumulation.
