Cardano has reached a nine-year milestone, with the Cardano Foundation reporting 123,982,111 transactions and 13,978,119 blocks since the network's first block was minted. The network currently supports 2,890 stake pools and has processed 36,322 votes across 158 governance actions, while its community ratified an on-chain constitution. These figures highlight growing activity, staking participation, and governance engagement across the proof-of-stake blockchain.
Alongside the anniversary, the Cardano Foundation announced integration with the x402 software development kit on September 21. The x402 protocol turns the internet's largely unused "402 Payment Required" response into an automated payment mechanism. With Cardano added to the official x402 SDK, developers can build payment options that allow AI agents and decentralized applications to pay for API calls and online services using ADA or Cardano-native tokens. The system removes manual steps, accounts, and special API keys, enabling machine-to-machine payments that could create a new source of transaction demand if adoption grows.
On the price front, ADA remains in consolidation. More Crypto Online highlights $0.315 as the next key technical target within the existing price channel. A separate technical view points to $0.248 as immediate resistance and $0.227 as nearby support. Momentum indicators are mixed: the Relative Strength Index stands at 56, while the Stochastic RSI signals overbought conditions. Until ADA clears resistance or breaks support, traders expect continued sideways movement despite the stronger utility narrative from x402.
