Avalanche's AVAX token climbed about 5% over the past 24 hours, trading near $11.45 with 24-hour volume above $560 million and a market capitalization around $5.1 billion. The move extended a recovery from September lows and kept the token above the key $10.40 level needed to preserve its September breakout, according to price analysis.
The rally has been driven by an accumulation of institutional real-world asset developments rather than a single headline. Avalanche said it added $245.5 million in tokenized stock market capitalization in September, the most of any chain. South Korea's new rules will allow on-chain stocks and bonds from February 2027, and its securities depository is building on Avalanche.
A major catalyst is Lynq, an institutional settlement network built using Avalanche technology, which makes Goldman Sachs' Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund accessible to participants. The fund itself has not been directly tokenized, but eligible institutions can move money into and out of it while remaining connected to Avalanche-based settlement infrastructure.
Institutional access to AVAX has also expanded. VanEck launched the first U.S.-listed spot Avalanche ETF earlier this year, and Avalanche Treasury was created as another public-market vehicle, following a $675 million Avalanche Treasury transaction aimed at building a large institutional AVAX platform.
The network activated the Helicon upgrade on mainnet on Sept. 22, introducing continuous execution, validator staking changes and a more flexible gas-fee system. A subsequent Helicon.1 release on Oct. 1 improved snapshot performance, reinforcing Avalanche's competitiveness as infrastructure for cost-sensitive applications.
From a technical standpoint, AVAX is trading between two narrowing trendlines, with an upper target near $12.20 and a further objective at $13.00. The lower trendline near $10.80 is rising about 8 cents per day, meaning a flat price would meet it within about a week.
