A fresh technical buy signal has emerged for SUI, as analyst Ali Charts highlighted a SuperTrend indicator shift on the four-hour chart. According to the analyst, the last comparable signal preceded a 77.53% rally, although past performance does not guarantee a repeat of that move.
As of Oct. 12, 2026, SUI trades near $1.123, slightly below its 50-day moving average of $1.14 but above its 200-day moving average at $0.991. Traders are watching resistance at $1.20 and the $1.25–$1.29 zone, while support sits near $1.05 and $0.99. A break below $0.99 could open the $0.90 level.
Separately, Kyle Chasse reported that Sui has repurchased approximately 830,300 tokens using stablecoin yield, rather than venture capital funding or treasury withdrawals. He linked potential future buybacks to stablecoin activity on Sui and questioned how large the repurchased token holdings could become if stablecoin volume continues climbing. The report did not specify a buyback schedule or the total value of the tokens acquired.
SUI’s recent price action followed a prolonged decline through May and June, consolidation around $0.66–$0.75 in late June and July, and a recovery attempt in August. In late September, SUI climbed from about $0.75–$0.85 to above $1.20, briefly reaching $1.28–$1.29 before resistance triggered a correction toward $1.05.
