A fresh wave of tokenized traditional assets has entered decentralized finance, with data from Token Terminal showing $101 million in xStocks-issued assets deposited into DeFi protocols. The inflows are heavily concentrated on two major Layer-1 networks: Solana captured approximately $56 million, while Ethereum followed with $37.1 million, together representing about 92% of the total.
Within the broader xStocks deposit pool, individual instruments showed notable contributions. STRCx led with $37.7 million, SPYx added $17.2 million, and NVDAx contributed $7 million. These three assets alone account for roughly 61% of overall deposits, underscoring the role of tokenized equity exposure in the DeFi shift.
The move comes amid mixed momentum in the wider crypto market and relatively subdued DeFi trading volumes. Analysts see the inflow as a sign of increasing institutional confidence in decentralized platforms and a potential change in liquidity dynamics. Morgan Stanley has previously estimated that tokenized assets could reach between $3 trillion and $10 trillion by 2030, suggesting room for further expansion.
Regulators are closely monitoring the intersection of traditional financial instruments and DeFi for compliance and security. For traders, the capital concentrating on Solana and Ethereum may provide opportunities, though volatility could rise as regulatory decisions and market conditions evolve.
