XRP Ledger activity is picking up again after a quiet stretch. According to data from XRPScan, payment volume on the network jumped 153.9% in the last 24 hours, reaching 363.3 million XRP. The sharp rise comes at a critical moment for XRP price action, with the token trading near $1.36 after a daily low of $1.31.
Buyers stepped in around the orange moving average near $1.34, which held as support and produced a green candle after several red ones. Still, context matters: the 363.3 million XRP figure remains well below the 30-day average of 680.4 million XRP. The 153.9% increase looks dramatic because the previous day was exceptionally weak, making this a recovery from a low base rather than a new record. The all-time high for payment volume stands at 7 billion XRP.
The one-year volume chart shows sharp waves, with spikes above 1.5 billion and major peaks near 2.5 billion in November and 2.7 billion in February. A smaller spike near 1.9 billion appeared in September, so quiet days followed by sharp jumps are normal for the network. Price has dropped from near $1.65 in late September to the low $1.30s, while the RSI is near 40, indicating weak momentum but not an intense sell-off. Rising on-chain activity may be the first sign that interest is returning.
For bulls, the next test is the $1.38 to $1.40 area. XRP needs to close above it to reclaim the black and blue moving averages, which would open the way toward $1.45 and then $1.50. If buyers fail there, the $1.31 low is the level to defend. A drop below it would put the recent bounce in doubt. Traders will need to see volume stay above the 30-day average before calling this a real bullish turn.
