Chainlink has expanded its presence across the Stellar ecosystem and introduced a new interoperability standard, CCIP 2.0, in two closely related announcements.
On October 18, Chainlink confirmed that Data Feeds and Data Streams are now live on Stellar. The integration gives developers building lending protocols, stablecoins, tokenized equity and trading products access to market data without having to build their own data infrastructure. Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon said tokenization matters most when assets serve a practical purpose, pointing to lending, trading and real-world asset applications. Stellar's real-world asset market is reportedly above $4 billion.
Chainlink Data Feeds deliver price references to smart contracts, which can be used to value collateral and set borrowing limits. Data Streams provides a low-latency delivery model for time-sensitive trading applications. The announcement noted that accurate market data does not eliminate risks such as poor collateral, weak risk controls or low liquidity.
In market snapshot figures supplied with the announcement, LINK rose 3.68% and XLM gained 2.52%, though the data did not establish a direct causal link to the news.
On October 19, Chainlink introduced CCIP 2.0, described as a new interoperability standard for moving tokenized assets across blockchains. Highlighted by Sergey Nazarov, the upgrade emphasizes security, reliability and institutional-grade compliance. The company said the standard is designed to support trillions in digital assets and could influence how institutions adopt blockchain technology in finance. CCIP 2.0 may also set a benchmark for cross-chain asset management as demand for seamless asset transfers grows.
Traders and institutions are likely to monitor whether the new services and interoperability standard translate into developer adoption and capital inflows.
