Large investors are making notable moves across Bitcoin and major altcoins, even as broader market demand remains subdued. Data from Bitfinex indicates that Bitcoin holders who acquired their coins within the past five months now control one-third of all whale capital—nearly double the share recorded in July.
Despite this accumulation, 30-day demand metrics remain negative, suggesting that the wider market has not yet followed the lead of larger players. Traders continue to watch key resistance around $65,000, with a shift in demand potentially needed to confirm a broader recovery.
In separate on-chain activity, wallets linked to BlackRock transferred approximately $143.04 million in crypto to Coinbase Prime. The transfers included 883 BTC worth $72.64 million from wallets associated with BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT and roughly 28,957 ETH worth $70.4 million. The transactions were described as safekeeping transfers, and no direct sales were confirmed.
Elsewhere, an anonymous investor withdrew 774.77 BTC worth $63.36 million from Robinhood, moving the funds to a wallet that had previously received only small test transfers.
Whale activity on Hyperliquid also drew attention. One investor staked 139,050 HYPE worth $10.95 million by delegating to the Infinitefield.xyz validator, while another re-staked about 399,994 HYPE worth $30.92 million, bringing that investor's 24-hour staking total to roughly 500,000 HYPE or $38.92 million. These tokens had been removed from staking about two months earlier.
