XRP has spent roughly ten weeks consolidating between clearly defined technical boundaries, leaving traders waiting for a decisive move. According to crypto analyst ChartNerd, resistance sits between $1.50 and $1.60, while support extends from $1.30 down to $1.25. These levels have repeatedly capped price action and prevented either buyers or sellers from establishing sustained control.
The prolonged range follows a prior 70% upward move, which ChartNerd says created conditions for extended compression. The analyst identified XRP’s 20-week and 50-week exponential moving averages as the central structure shaping the consolidation. For about two months, price has traded between these moving averages while forming a parallel price channel.
ChartNerd outlined two possible breakout scenarios: a confirmed move above the $1.50–$1.60 resistance could support renewed upside, while a breakdown beneath $1.25–$1.30 support would point to further declines. The analyst stressed that brief moves outside either boundary should not be treated as decisive signals—traders should wait for confirmation.
The analysis also addressed frustration among XRP holders who expected positive ecosystem developments to translate into stronger price gains. ChartNerd argued that during consolidation, positive news and immediate price performance do not necessarily move together. Until a boundary breaks, uneven trading within the established channel is expected, with technical structure outweighing social media speculation.
