Key takeaways:

  • Binance's BTC-pair removals and Brazil curbs signal structural liquidity and regulatory tightening.
  • Watch QUICK for forced exits; its 27% drop and $6.9M cap amplify delisting liquidity risk.
  • EPIC's RWA-focused L2 delisting shows listing-review risk; watch December 28 withdrawals and conversion uncertainty.

Binance has announced Ethereum wallet maintenance and a new round of trading-pair removals, while separately confirming that spot trading for QuickSwap (QUICK) and Epic Chain (EPIC) ended on October 28.

On October 28, deposits and withdrawals for Ethereum were temporarily paused for roughly one hour during wallet maintenance. The exchange said token trading on the network would not be affected and that transfers would reopen once the network was deemed stable, with no additional announcement planned.

Binance will remove several spot trading pairs on October 30: AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, CAKE/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC, ICP/BTC, PENDLE/BTC, RENDER/BTC, TAO/BTC, THETA/BTC, XAUT/BTC and XTZ/BTC. The exchange emphasized that removing a spot pair does not affect token availability, because users can trade the base and quote assets through other available pairs. It also plans to remove margin pairs on the same date, including RE/USD1, KAT/U, BTC/USDS, ETH/USDS, AVNT/U, FET/U, TRUMP/U, APT/U and WLFI/U.

For QUICK and EPIC, Binance stopped spot trading at 03:00 UTC on October 28, following an initial announcement on October 14. The exchange cited its routine review of listed assets, covering factors such as trading volume, liquidity, development quality, regulatory requirements, and token supply or tokenomics changes. It did not specify which factors triggered the delisting of either token.

The delisting process for QUICK and EPIC has three phases. Deposits stop being credited after October 29 at 03:00 UTC. Withdrawals remain supported until December 28 at 03:00 UTC. After December 29, Binance may convert remaining balances into stablecoins, but it cautioned that conversion is not guaranteed. Open orders were automatically removed when spot trading ceased.

QuickSwap is a decentralized exchange on Polygon, and QUICK serves as its governance and fee asset. The project recently rolled out on-chain perpetual futures with Orbs. Its market cap was about $6.9 million in late October. QUICK traded near $0.0072 on Binance, down about 27% over 24 hours. Epic Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 focused on tokenizing real-world assets such as real estate, bonds and collectibles; EPIC is used for staking, governance and as a medium of exchange. EPIC traded around $0.098 against USDT.

The delistings are part of a wider listing cleanup. Binance also said it would restrict eight services and delist 22 tokens in Brazil under new central bank rules.
