SoFi Technologies reported third-quarter results on Tuesday, disclosing for the first time that it had 503,000 crypto products at the end of the quarter. Gross crypto transaction revenue reached $161.6 million, up 20% from the prior quarter, while net crypto transaction revenue was only $1.6 million after associated costs.
At the company level, SoFi posted record net revenue of $1.39 billion, up 44% year over year, and net income of $241 million. Earnings per share came in at 18 cents, beating the 17-cent consensus, while revenue topped Wall Street's $1.25 billion estimate. SoFi also raised its full-year revenue guidance.
The fintech's SoFi Invest brokerage grew 37% year over year to 4.18 million products as of September 30. Existing members opened 51% of new products, indicating deeper customer relationships. Adjusted EBITDA rose 70% to $469.8 million, outpacing adjusted revenue growth of 44%. Lending-adjusted revenue increased 68% year over year, while Technology Platform revenue fell 24%, partly because of a large customer's departure.
CEO Anthony Noto said: “We had exceptional Q3 results against the backdrop of any environment, but they are even more remarkable given how 2026 has unfolded.” After pausing crypto services for two years, SoFi returned to the sector in May 2025 and officially launched SoFi Crypto in November 2025. The service lets members buy and hold dozens of tokens directly from FDIC-insured checking or savings accounts. The company has since expanded into stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and crypto infrastructure.
SoFi shares traded nearly 15% higher on Tuesday morning, though they remain about 40% below their year-to-date high. Management introduced a 2027 adjusted EPS outlook of 90 cents, above the 82-cent consensus, while maintaining its 2026 adjusted EPS forecast at 61 cents.
