NEAR Protocol has faced intense selling pressure, losing 39.42% since October 13 after sliding from roughly $6.00 to around $3.70. The token is down about 15% over the past week, underperforming major assets such as BTC and ETH, while its market capitalization has dropped below $5 billion and it has fallen out of the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap.
According to crypto analyst Ali Charts, the decline has produced a nine-candle bearish sequence near $3.72, which may indicate selling exhaustion. The TD Sequential indicator has now flashed a buy signal on NEAR’s daily chart. The same tool previously flashed a Sequential Aggressive 13 in mid-October, before NEAR’s 39.5% pullback from about $6.00 to $3.63. Ali Charts said he is watching $4.30 as the first target and a move to the setup resistance trendline around $4.80.
Other analysts have echoed the possibility of a rebound. Michael van de Poppe said he would be interested in accumulation below $3.50, while Giannis Andreou noted that buyers need to defend the area around $3.50–$3.60 and establish a higher low. Andreou said a daily acceptance above $4.10–$4.30 could bring $4.80–$5.00 into focus, with the larger objective near $7.00 along the upper rising trendline. Trader Posty argued the retest of the key weekly level at $3 and the 200-week moving average looks too perfect, adding that NEAR’s revenue and narrative positioning could make it an attractive opportunity into 2027.
For now, NEAR faces critical support around $3.70. A successful recovery would first need to reclaim $4.20, followed by $4.80, while failure to hold current levels could open the door to the $3.50 zone or lower.
