Prenetics Raises $48 Million to Accelerate Bitcoin Treasury and IM8 Expansion

Prenetics Global, a Nasdaq-listed health sciences company, has completed an oversubscribed equity offering raising $48 million in gross proceeds, with potential total proceeds of up to $216 million if all warrants are exercised. The offering, which closed on October 28, 2025, attracted major cryptocurrency investors including Kraken, Exodus, GPTX by Jihan Wu, DL Holdings, and American Ventures, alongside increased stakes from tennis player Aryna Sabalenka and Hong Kong tycoon Adrian Cheng. Football legend David Beckham remains a shareholder and co-founder of the IM8 supplement brand.

The company has been implementing a daily accumulation of 1 Bitcoin since August 1, 2025, and as of October 27, holds approximately 275 BTC valued at $31 million. Following this funding round, Prenetics expects total liquidity of around $131 million, which will be used to advance its Bitcoin treasury initiatives and expand IM8 globally. CEO Danny Yeung stated the capital will "accelerate IM8’s global expansion while advancing our disciplined Bitcoin treasury initiatives."

IM8, co-founded with Beckham, achieved $100 million in recurring revenue within 11 months of launch and projects revenues between $160 million and $200 million for 2026. Prenetics aims to reach $1 billion in annual revenue and $1 billion in Bitcoin holdings within five years. Despite the funding news, the company's stock fell 21.96% to close at $13.08 on Monday but rebounded 4.51% in after-hours trading, and remains up 161.6% over the past six months.
