Asset management giant WisdomTree announced on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a significant expansion of its tokenization efforts, bringing its full suite of tokenized real-world asset (RWA) funds to the Solana blockchain. This move is part of the firm's broader multi-chain deployment strategy, aiming to meet growing institutional and retail demand for on-chain financial products.
The integration allows both institutional clients, via the WisdomTree Connect platform, and retail users, through WisdomTree Prime, to mint, trade, and hold all of WisdomTree's tokenized funds natively on Solana. These funds span money market, equities, fixed income, alternatives, and asset allocation categories. Retail users can add USDC stablecoin directly from Solana to purchase these funds without exiting to traditional banking rails, holding investments in self-custody wallets.
Maredith Hannon, Head of Business Development for Digital Assets at WisdomTree, stated, "Bringing our full suite of tokenized funds to Solana reflects our continued focus on regulated real-world assets across the onchain ecosystem." She highlighted that Solana's infrastructure meets crypto-native demand while upholding regulatory standards expected by institutions, citing its high transaction speeds as a key factor.
This expansion follows WisdomTree's existing tokenized fund deployments on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, and Optimism networks. According to data from RWA.xyz, Solana is the fourth-largest network for distributed tokenized RWA assets, with approximately $1.3 billion in value, capturing a 5.6% market share. However, it remains significantly behind Ethereum, which dominates with over 60% of the market.
Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Growth at the Solana Foundation, commented on the partnership, saying, "WisdomTree’s decision to expand its full suite of tokenized funds to Solana reflects the demand for expanded access to tokenized RWAs and Solana’s ability to support that demand at scale." The move underscores a broader trend of traditional asset managers leveraging blockchain technology to reduce settlement times, improve accessibility, and unlock new distribution channels for regulated financial products.
