Crypto.com and the U.S. SailGP Team have signed a multi-year global partnership, naming OG Prediction Markets as the Official Prediction Market Partner and Crypto.com as the Official Crypto Exchange. The deal, announced just ahead of the New York Sail Grand Prix, marks a significant crossover between elite sailing and regulated crypto prediction trading.
The partnership will feature prominent branding on the team’s F50 foiling catamaran, race kit, and digital content, alongside live fan activations and integrations with OG Prediction Markets. Fans will be able to trade prediction contracts tied to SailGP races in real time, leveraging the league’s data-rich, high-speed format. “Crypto.com has always backed those who compete at the highest level, and the U.S. SailGP Team is exactly that,” said Steve Humenik, EVP at Crypto.com. He added that the partnership reflects a broader strategy to make the U.S. “the Prediction Markets Capital of the World.”
OG Prediction Markets operates as a CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse, giving it a compliance advantage as several jurisdictions tighten rules around unregulated prediction platforms. The partnership launches during a period of growing regulatory scrutiny over crypto-linked sports betting and prediction markets. Team Principal Mike Buckley called the agreement “a tremendous statement of confidence” in the league, highlighting the commercial and fan engagement potential.
The U.S. SailGP Team, owned by Ryan and Margaret McKillen and two-time world champion Mike Buckley, is led by nine-time world champion Taylor Canfield. The partnership aims to connect Crypto.com’s extensive user base with SailGP’s growing global audience, opening new pathways for data-driven fan interaction.
