XRP is trading near $1.38–$1.39 after retreating from its recent local high, with market participants closely watching a heavy on-chain support zone. Analyst Ali Charts noted that approximately 3.2 billion XRP changed hands in the $1.35–$1.38 area, making it a pivotal demand zone for the token’s next move. The token rallied 71.8% from $0.988 to $1.698 before undergoing a roughly 20% correction, bringing it back toward this key support.
Resistance levels are stacked above the current price. According to Ali Charts, $1.60 is the first major resistance with about 1.99 billion XRP previously traded there, followed by $1.68 with roughly 1.98 billion XRP and $1.86 with the largest listed resistance volume at 3.47 billion XRP. A decisive move above $1.86 could put $2.19 on the radar, where 3.12 billion XRP previously changed hands.
On the one-hour chart, XRP has been range-bound with a mildly bearish bias after rejecting the $1.65–$1.67 region. Buyers pushed the token toward $1.46–$1.47 around Aug. 27–28, but that rebound failed to produce a sustained breakout. Immediate support sits at $1.38–$1.39, while stronger support is located at $1.35–$1.36. Technical indicators are mixed: the RSI is at 53.65, slightly above its average of 51.69, while the MACD histogram is at 0.0010, showing only limited short-term strength.
Broader technical analysis suggests a more constructive setup. XRP has surpassed its 200-day moving average and, importantly, held above it throughout the correction. Analysts interpret this as one of the most obvious bullish reversal signals for XRP. The declining volume during the pullback indicates sellers lack the momentum to push XRP below its long-term trend indicator. The 50-day and 100-day moving averages are around $1.14 and $1.21, respectively, while the 20-day EMA has risen to about $1.26, suggesting the rally is beginning to influence shorter averages. If $1.35 holds, the focus returns to $1.45–$1.50, with $1.70 as the primary breakout target. A prolonged decline below the 200-day average would weaken the reversal thesis and could push XRP toward $1.26–$1.20.
