Despite Bitcoin recently slipping below the $80,000 level after a market correction pushed it into negative territory, traders on the prediction platform Kalshi remain firmly bullish on the asset's near-term prospects.
As of Saturday, September 5, Kalshi data shows traders are betting that Bitcoin will reach at least $82,000 before the end of the month. With Bitcoin trading around $79,000 at the time of reporting, this implies an expected upside of roughly 8% from current levels.
The optimism appears to be an extension of the bullish momentum generated during the August rally. Even as Bitcoin's price momentum has slowed, investor confidence remains elevated, with market participants positioning for another profitable monthly close. If the $82,000 target is reached, analysts note that Bitcoin could be on track to test the broader $85,000 target in September, extending the prior month's uptrend.
Kalshi traders are effectively ignoring the short-term correction and continuing to price in further upside, suggesting that the current dip below $80,000 is being viewed as temporary rather than a structural reversal.
