The race between XRP and Bitcoin to hit their respective price targets has drawn fresh attention, with ChatGPT suggesting Bitcoin has the clearer path to $150,000 before XRP can reach $5.
At the time of the analysis, XRP was trading around $1.37, meaning a move to $5 would require a gain of roughly 265%. Bitcoin was changing hands near $77,324.61, so a climb to $150,000 would demand an increase of about 94%.
Technically, the XRP chart shows the main obstacle is a descending trendline near $1.60. The RSI stood at 50.43 with four bullish divergence labels, while the Ultimate Oscillator remained neutral to bearish at 38.73. Bitcoin was also near its own trendline, with resistance at $78,240.75 and an RSI of 59.23, but two bearish divergence readings kept the picture mixed.
For XRP, clearing $1.60 would open the chart toward $1.80, $2.00, $2.20, $2.40 and $2.60. The $2.60 zone is significant because it marks a major high — and even after reclaiming that level, XRP would still need another 92% advance to reach $5. Fundamentals include U.S. spot XRP ETFs recording about $1.44 billion in net inflows by May 2026, plus the XRP Ledger preparing for the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment and post-quantum security roadmap targeting 2028.
Bitcoin, by contrast, has less distance to cover. A break above $78,240.75 could put $90,000, $100,000 and $110,000 in focus before a final push to $150,000. Institutional support remains substantial: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs hold about $101.2 billion in assets, and whales holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC accumulated between 46,000 and 66,700 BTC in recent months. The main concern is weakening network activity, with daily active addresses and smaller transactions declining, signaling that retail participation has not matched whale buying.
Based on the math, technical structure and institutional flows, ChatGPT concluded that Bitcoin is more likely to reach $150,000 before XRP can reach $5. XRP could deliver a bigger percentage return, but its road is longer and filled with multiple resistance levels.
