Samsung Wallet has integrated the Sui blockchain, giving 82 million Galaxy device users in the United States access to gasless USDC transactions. Announced on Oct. 14, the integration lets eligible users hold and send USDC through Samsung Wallet without paying Sui network fees, a move aimed at expanding digital payment utility and onboarding more users into Sui’s ecosystem.
The announcement lands amid a sharp pullback in SUI’s price. On Oct. 15, SUI slipped below $1.00, trading near $0.977 on Binance after falling as low as $0.963 during the session—a daily decline of about 4.3%. The token had rallied from roughly $0.68 in September to almost $1.30, but the rising trendline behind that move has broken, and the $0.95–$1.00 zone is now being tested as support. Below that, analysts point to $0.78–$0.84 as the next major support area.
Broader market conditions added pressure. Around $959.43 million in crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours, with long positions accounting for $879.71 million and shorts just $79.72 million. In the final four hours of that window, liquidations reached $521.99 million, including about $490.56 million from bullish positions.
Despite the selloff, institutional demand for SUI-related products remains firm. U.S.-listed SUI investment products recorded five consecutive weeks of net inflows, accumulating about 14 million SUI, even as Bitcoin and Ethereum products saw outflows. Ecosystem activity has also stayed resilient: DeFi total value locked on Sui has remained above $1.2 billion, with steady trading on protocols such as DeepBook.
Other Sui ecosystem developments include the Sui Foundation’s announcement that DATA Network and its Trace AI-data registry are moving onto Sui and Walrus. Trace has registered more than 250 million data contributions and processes over three million receipts per day on average. Hashi’s mainnet rollout is set to begin this month with more than $500 million in committed capital, and Anchorage Digital has joined a coalition of more than 20 institutional partners.
Technical indicators show daily RSI at 43.92, below the neutral 50 mark but still above oversold territory, while MACD remains bearish. Analyst Crypto Patel described the $1–$0.75 range as a re-entry zone after an earlier accumulation zone produced a 103% gain. He said bullish confirmation would require SUI/USDT to reclaim $1.4223, with targets starting at $2.65 and $5.36, a bull market target of $10, and a macro target of $20.
