BNB Standard Corporation, trading on Nasdaq under the ticker BNC, marked its formal introduction as a BNB-focused public company at the Nasdaq MarketSite in New York on Monday. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao attended the ceremony alongside new CEO Alex Odagiu, YZi Labs executive Ella Zhang, and BNB Chain representatives.
The event introduced the company's new name and management team after it changed from CEA Industries to BNB Standard on September 29, 2026. The company describes itself as managing the world’s largest institutional BNB reserve and plans to operate validator nodes on BNB Chain, generating revenue from network activity in addition to price movements of its reserve assets.
According to first-quarter fiscal 2027 results, as of July 31, 2026, BNB Standard held 515,544 BNB worth approximately $302.3 million, representing 93.1% of total assets. The same quarter included a $15.3 million unrealized loss on tokens and an $11.4 million net loss. Odagiu, a former YZi Labs investment partner and Goldman Sachs investment banker, became CEO on October 19, 2026, after a board control dispute with YZi Labs was settled on June 23, 2026. The company also warned that staking rewards are not guaranteed and disclosed a material weakness in internal financial controls.
