Ethereum has cemented its leadership in tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), controlling $21.8 billion of a total market worth $46.3 billion. The sector has expanded by approximately 920% over the past three years, according to data highlighted by Token Terminal, underlining how blockchain networks are increasingly positioning themselves as infrastructure for global asset issuance.
Competition is intensifying. BNB Chain ranks second with $6.1 billion in tokenized RWAs, while Solana and Stellar are tied at $3.6 billion each. The gap between Ethereum and its rivals suggests the network is becoming the primary settlement layer for tokenized traditional finance instruments, potentially attracting more institutional participants and regulatory attention.
Ethereum’s activity also stood out in spot markets. On October 26, market commentator Gemini noted that Ethereum was the only top-100 cryptocurrency posting a double-digit gain, even as the broader market showed mixed momentum. This performance may reflect rising investor confidence around Ethereum’s RWA narrative and its broader smart contract ecosystem.
