Crypto.com and OG.com Launch US Crypto Perpetual Futures with 5x Leverage

Key takeaways:

  • Crypto.com's fee waiver may temporarily boost BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE, and ZEC perpetual volume.
  • Regulated HYPE access could draw U.S. demand, but funding costs and 5x limits temper sentiment.
  • Watch liquidation risk: email-only margin warnings and no grace period may amplify SOL volatility.

Crypto.com and its derivatives partner OG.com began rolling out crypto perpetual futures to eligible U.S. traders on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The contracts allow traders to take long or short positions with up to 5x leverage and no expiration date. The initial launch list includes BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE and ZEC. First-time perpetuals traders must complete a risk profile survey, and access is limited to eligible U.S. customers.

The offering runs through Crypto.com-affiliated entities: Foris DAX Inc. acts as an introducing broker registered with the National Futures Association, Foris DAX FCM, LLC operates as a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, and North American Derivatives Exchange serves as the CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse. North American Derivatives Exchange is the former Nadex, which Crypto.com's parent acquired from IG Group in a $216 million deal that closed in March 2022. Crypto.com said it recently registered as an introducing broker with the National Futures Association to enable the perpetuals launch.

The new contracts support take-profit and stop-loss orders, isolated margin, and U.S. dollar cash as collateral. Each user can hold up to eight isolated positions across one master account and one sub-account, while hedge mode is not supported. Trading fees are waived from October 27 to November 26, but funding payments still apply every eight hours. Crypto.com also warns that there is no guaranteed grace period before liquidation and that margin warnings and liquidation notices initially go out by email only.

The launch follows the CFTC's May decision to open U.S. markets to crypto perpetuals. Coinbase previously launched U.S. perpetual-style futures with five-year expiries and up to 10x intraday leverage, while Kraken launched Bitnomial-listed perpetuals in June. Compared with those rivals, Crypto.com offers a contract with no expiry date at all. The inclusion of HYPE is notable because U.S. traders still lack a regulated route onto Hyperliquid itself, giving them a regulated HYPE contract on Crypto.com's venue instead.
