Strategy shareholders have approved amendments to introduce daily dividends across four classes of preferred stock, according to an October 28 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Preliminary results from the special meeting showed 99.3% of votes cast in favor, as also announced by Strategy founder Michael Saylor. The affected securities are the Strife (STRF), Stretch (STRC), Strike (STRK), and Stride (STRD) preferred shares.
Under the approved framework, STRC will move to daily dividend record dates beginning November 1, 2026, while STRF, STRK, and STRD are scheduled to follow on January 1, 2027. The new schedule covers every calendar day, including weekends and exchange holidays. However, payments may be grouped depending on settlement arrangements at the Depository Trust Company and Nasdaq. For example, dividends for November 6 through November 8, 2026, would share November 6 as record and ex-dividend date, with payment expected on Monday, November 9.
Strategy provided additional detail on the preferred securities: STRC carries a variable annualized dividend rate of 12%, STRF and STRD carry 10%, and STRK has an 8% rate. The company said the frequency change would not materially alter total dividend obligations or existing protections, and dividends remain subject to board declaration and the availability of legally permitted funds.
The approval comes after Strategy repurchased $204.9 million of STRC, covering 2,068,459 shares, in the week ended October 25. Its Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged at 848,517 BTC, acquired for about $64.02 billion including fees and expenses. The company's available dollar cash balance fell to $242.4 million, while its reserve for dividend payments and debt interest stood at approximately $4.83 billion.
