Analyst Sets Key XRP, HYPE, ENA Levels to Watch Before Fed Meeting

Key takeaways:

  • XRP whale concentration near 2022 highs raises breakout risk, so watch $1.25 support closely.
  • HYPE trendline rebound suggests tactical bullish sentiment, but FOMC volatility may test $74 support.
  • ENA needs a confirmed $0.22 close; rejection could revive downside toward $0.18 amid altcoin fragility.

Ali Martinez outlined key technical levels for XRP, Hyperliquid (HYPE), and Ethena (ENA) on October 28, as altcoins rebounded ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s FOMC meeting.

For XRP, Martinez identified $1.25 as the critical support, with the daily chart forming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. If $1.25 holds, he expects a move toward the neckline at $1.55; a daily close above that could signal a breakout toward $2.10. A break below $1.25 could expose a dip to $0.98. XRP was trading around $1.33, up 2% in 24 hours but down 10% over 30 days. Wallets holding at least 10 million XRP reportedly control more than 68% of supply, the highest since November 2022.

For Hyperliquid (HYPE), the analyst noted the token bounced from about $74 near a trendline it has tracked since the start of the year. Previous touches in late January and early August preceded rallies of 87% and 72%, respectively. HYPE traded near $82 after gaining 5% in 24 hours; if support holds, Martinez sees a potential push past its all-time high near $98 toward $110, while a breakdown could bring $67 or even $60 into view.

Ethena (ENA) faces a different test: it must clear resistance at the upper boundary of a descending channel. ENA rose roughly 18% in recent days and traded just above $0.20, down 22% over the past month. A 4-hour close above $0.22 could trigger a move toward $0.24 to $0.27, whereas rejection could send it back to $0.18.
