Outset Media Index (OMI), a media intelligence platform that evaluates outlets through structured, comparable metrics, has announced its participation at Istanbul Blockchain Week 2026, taking place on June 2–3. The platform aims to replace traditional, ambiguous “Tier 1 media” labels with a signal-based approach, helping communications teams assess publications by measurable factors such as reach, engagement, AI discoverability, editorial conditions, and GEO concentration.
OMI’s methodology draws on 37 selected metrics across over 340 tracked outlets. It organizes analysis into two scoring frameworks: General Rating and Convenience Rating. These metrics feed into board‑level reporting layers—strategic context, operational results, and risk indicators—enabling PR leads to connect media performance to business goals, identify vulnerabilities, and justify outlet selection with data rather than relying on vague tier definitions.
At the Istanbul Blockchain Week, a venue that gathers Web3 founders, investors, developers, and policy voices, OMI will demonstrate how its outlet‑level signals can support strategic media decisions in fast‑moving, reputation‑sensitive sectors such as crypto and finance. The presentation underscores the growing importance of structured media analysis as part of the communications infrastructure for blockchain companies.
