Shiba Inu community veteran Mazrael has issued an urgent security advisory, warning SHIB holders to stop using legacy ecosystem domains that are no longer under the project’s control. The official gateway for all Shiba Inu services—including ShibaSwap and Shibarium—is now exclusively Shib.io.
According to Mazrael, the former ShibTheMetaverse website and other retired domains could be acquired by third parties and used to host phishing content or unrelated material. The advisory emphasizes that no future content on those addresses should be considered legitimate or connected to the SHIB ecosystem. Future metaverse access will also be channeled through Shib.io, consolidating all major products under a single verified portal.
Community members are urged to verify every official link before connecting wallets, signing transactions, or entering sensitive information. This precaution aims to reduce exposure to scams that exploit abandoned domains and lookalike websites—a persistent threat across the crypto industry. The warning reflects a broader effort to improve security as the Shiba Inu ecosystem expands with new products and services.
