JPMorgan’s deepening crypto footprint is becoming harder to ignore. As of October 11, the bank’s two tokenized money market funds held $844 million on Ethereum, split between $741 million in JLTXX and $103 million in MONY. The JLTXX fund launched in May with just $200 million, so its rapid expansion highlights accelerating institutional confidence in Ethereum-based tokenization.
Separately, JPMorgan reported that crypto markets attracted roughly $50 billion in inflows in 2026, with the annualized pace nearing $66 billion. That is up from $52 billion in May, though still about half of last year’s total. The report, shared by KuCoin, noted a shift in demand: first-half inflows were driven largely by Bitcoin purchases and venture funding, while Q3 saw ETF flows turn positive and CME Bitcoin futures positioning exceed its previous peak.
The report also flagged that miners sold about $1.8 billion to fund AI infrastructure, a sign of changing capital allocation. Meanwhile, Ethereum’s trading volume has been notably thin, but the sizeable tokenized fund holdings may provide a buffer against volatility. For traders, the combination of tokenized fund growth on Ethereum and rebounding institutional flows into Bitcoin products may reinforce a more sustainable demand trend heading into the fourth quarter.
