Key takeaways:

  • Ripple’s C2FO integration targets real payment volume, potentially strengthening XRP Ledger utility beyond speculative trading.
  • RLUSD adoption on XRPL could boost stablecoin credibility, but watch for limited supplier onboarding risk.
  • Near-term XRP impact may stay muted until Instant Pay proves actual settlement demand.

Ripple and C2FO have announced a partnership designed to bring instant supplier payments to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) through blockchain-based settlement. The collaboration will integrate Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin into C2FO Instant Pay, enabling businesses to receive approved invoice payments within seconds rather than waiting through traditional banking channels.

According to the joint announcement, the initiative connects C2FO’s working capital marketplace—historically responsible for facilitating more than $520 billion in working capital—with Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure. Participating capital providers will fund early payments, while XRPL handles settlement without changing existing invoice agreements. Suppliers often wait 30 to 90 days for payments after delivering goods; even approved early payments can face additional settlement delays.

Under the new arrangement, approved invoices will be financed by participating capital providers, and Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin will serve as the dollar-backed settlement asset on XRPL. The XRP Ledger can process transactions in three to five seconds with fees costing fractions of a cent and operates around the clock, supporting payments outside conventional banking hours. RLUSD has surpassed $2.5 billion in market capitalization, with more than $1 billion issued on XRPL.

C2FO President and COO Americas Ragui Selwanes said the partnership strengthens the company’s existing working capital services and could expand financing access without disrupting established supplier relationships or customer experiences. RippleX Senior Vice President Markus Infanger added: ‘Working capital is a powerful example of where blockchain can make an existing financial market work better.’ He highlighted that XRPL supports financial asset transfers through fast settlement and low transaction costs, while RLUSD provides a dollar-backed mechanism for financing approved receivables.

C2FO has opened a waitlist for businesses interested in accessing Instant Pay as preparation continues, though no official date for general availability was announced. The partnership brings Ripple’s XRPL settlement infrastructure directly into supplier financing and targets banking delays that can extend payment processing by several days.
