Ripple's XRP has entered a pivotal phase after confirming a triangle breakout and successfully retesting key support, while regulatory momentum builds with final approval for a national trust bank from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The two developments have put XRP at the center of attention as traders watch both chart levels and macro events, including the Federal Reserve meeting on October 28.
On the technical side, XRP broke above a well-defined triangle pattern and then pulled back by roughly $0.08. Market participants viewed the retest as healthy because it allowed former resistance to be validated. The main breakout level is $1.5692; as long as price remains above that area, the bullish roadmap remains intact. Secondary support sits at $1.445, followed by $1.3798. Projected upside targets are $1.8815, $2.9032, $4.1043, and $7.0786.
In parallel, crypto analyst Ali Charts noted that the TD Sequential indicator flashed a buy signal on the three-day XRP chart. Previous similar signals were followed by rebounds of 31%, 24%, and 18%. Ali Charts identified $1.25 as the key level to watch, suggesting a hold could open the path toward $1.40, while a loss could send XRP toward $0.98. Charting Guy separately posted that XRP is flipping resistance to support higher.
On the regulatory front, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced that Ripple received final OCC approval for a national trust bank. The charter gives the company an even stronger foundation for RLUSD and the institutional products being built. Ripple National Trust Bank will manage reserves behind the RLUSD stablecoin, which has a market cap of $2.5 billion, making it the ninth largest dollar-pegged stablecoin. RLUSD's market cap grew 7% in the past week, outpacing rivals. The approval may help Ripple connect banks with blockchain payments and provide enterprise custody services, although the broader US crypto regulatory framework remains incomplete.
Despite the bullish narrative, XRP is trading below all four key daily moving averages: the 20-day EMA at $1.3419, the 50-day at $1.3607, the 100-day at $1.3335, and the 200-day at $1.3710. The MACD histogram is around -0.0004, and the MACD line remains below its signal line. On the four-hour chart, analyst Alejandro Arrieche pointed to a W-shaped pattern; a breakout above its neckline could target $1.55. XRP traded near $1.32 on the morning of October 28, up 1.79% on the day, while market participants await the Federal Reserve's meeting for clearer macro direction.
