Stellar’s role in tokenized real-world assets grew on October 28 at the Stellar Development Foundation’s Meridian conference in Lisbon, with two separate announcements targeting institutional asset managers and private-fund investors.
Securitize said it plans to integrate Stellar as its 17th supported blockchain for regulated tokenized securities. The company, which provides tokenization and securities services to institutions such as BlackRock, Apollo and Hamilton Lane, disclosed the proposed expansion on the first day of Meridian 2026. No specific asset, launch partner or completion date was identified, and the statement describes a planned expansion rather than an already completed migration of existing funds.
Securitize co-founder and CEO Carlos Domingo called Stellar the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, adding that the integration would let asset managers issue, administer and transfer tokenized financial instruments using Securitize’s regulated brokerage, transfer agency and investment advisory infrastructure. Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon similarly framed the agreement as expanding infrastructure for asset managers.
Stellar’s tokenized real-world asset market was assessed by RedStone research at more than $3 billion as of July, up from roughly $785 million in January. Franklin Templeton’s BENJI tokenized U.S. Government Money Fund has operated on Stellar since 2021. Securitize separately reported about $5 billion in tokenized securities across its platform as of September 30.
In a separate pilot, Pontoro unveiled an Automated Liquidity Pool with Archax issuing the pool’s interests as permissioned tokens on Stellar. The structure holds a liquid sleeve of money market assets and a private sleeve of private-fund interests bought from investors seeking early exits. Pricing rules widen the discount on new private-fund purchases as the liquid sleeve shrinks, and redemptions may be delayed, reduced or suspended when available cash runs out. The arrangement uses Stellar asset controls to enforce transfer restrictions and holder authorization on-chain.
Pontoro’s Stellar ALP, LP filed a Form D notice with the SEC on October 13, listing a $200,000 minimum investment from outside investors under Rule 506(c), which permits public advertising but requires accredited-investor verification. At filing, the first sale had not yet occurred.
The announcements reinforce Stellar’s position in tokenized private and public markets, though key execution details remain open, including Pontoro’s discount curve, liquid-sleeve size and any completed purchases or redemptions, as well as Securitize’s product timetable for the new chain integration.
